
The Old Kitchen occupies part of the basement floor adjacent to the garden, an external door connects to the scullery, in this doorway hooks have been attached to the lintel to provide for a childs swing. A further internal door connects to the pantry which contains a collection of domestic items including various items of pewter ware. Furniture includes a large elm kitchen table with pot board, an 18th century Welsh Oak cabinet on chest and an 18th century oak dresser base.
The fireplace has been reconstructed with an open fire possibly replacing a cast iron range . An early 19th century roasting stand known as a Dutch oven with brass Jack operated by a clockwork mechansim stands near the fireplace.
